What ho and hey howdy hey!

Well, well, well. Greetings all you dudes and dudelettes! I guess it's time for an update of sorts. Life is going on--mostly--at breakneck speed and I've gotten the distict impression that it's not going to slowdown any time soon. Ah, well. "What ho!" say I--life should be lived with gusto, and when gusto is in short supply, go for spontinaity.
Speaking of spontinaity, I've had that in copious amounts recently. So life has been lived with gusto and spontinaity. The days are long and the weeks fly by--odd isn't it? You'd think it ought to be t'other way 'round. This being the posish, my weekends have been quite the focal point for me of late.
Last weekend I was up at college to socialize and generally and hang out. Found out after I got there that it was homecoming weekend (of sorts) which by no means crimped the spirits. :-D Got to see loads of folk that I hadn't seen in eons and ages etc. Most enjoyable, but somewhat exhausting. Also got to worship with very good friends on Sunday and totally enjoyed that time of fellowship.
This upcoming weekend I'll be up at the college again--this time for a wedding. Odd's fish but the folk at this particular college, whether staff or students, are certainly falling like flies. You know the kind of flies I mean, the courting/engaged/marrying types. Loads of them. Falling all over the place. Rather disconcerting at first but, after a while one gets used to it. Especially if one has joined the ranks, as it were. :-)
Back to the wedding; has anyone ever led dancing at a wedding before? Or led dancing (of the English Country, Contra-, or Square varieties) at all? I don't mind doing it, I just find it somewhat...hmmm...not frustrating per se, but interesting, to be encouraging and helping with something that one can't really participate in while one is encouraging and helping with, if you get my drift. We shall see. Should be fun whatever the outcome, which for a certain couple had better be marriage. :-P
The weekend following I'll be in Old-Town Alexandria for the staff-retreat for my office. Kind of like a pseudo/quasi paid vacation of sorts. First time in attendence and I've heard, through the mulberry bush, and from the weasel, that the Boss is having the staff over to his house for BBQ--Yeehaw! And so, as you can well see from my unabashed ramblings that I'm quite incapacitated, and enjoying every minute of it. Such are my postings for any newcomers. Will post again shortly. Seriously, I will. :~)

"Joined the ranks"? IS that a formal announcement?

This is very interesting...my brother's name is Joseph Moss. And he's also been called "Jomoe," though we would've spelled it Joe Moe.

I guess I have joined the ranks elaienar (see http://www.xanga.com/ascottishwhisper for a more detailed revelation). That is very interesting theresa. The nickname was started for me by a friend at college and it just seemed to fit. And no, I don't have a sister named Theresa. ;-)

Shortly is to be considered as "a time increment of the author's choosing." In this case, a month was not exceeded. :-) Thanks for the reminder. And Happy November, Mrs. Sauer!
